Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition eligibility update / version tracking

New updates are added at the bottom of this story …

2020 has probably been one of the most important years in MIUI history. With the release of MIUI 12, the Android world started to take Xiaomi’s software seriously.

After all, the update was one of the biggest and most memorable of all time. He fixed many shortcomings with MIUI 10 / MIUI 11 and tweaked the skin to perfection.

You also have some cool new animations and fancy UI elements using fancy stuff like Gaussian blur. It was these many tweaks that may also have led to some serious performance issues, especially noticeable on budget devices.

However, the company continued to focus on feature additions and placed little to no priority on optimization. This led to the emergence of an extremely buggy and unstable MIUI 12.

With MIUI 12.5 things got better, as it was promised that Xiaomi would prioritize optimization. The update is now available on most eligible devices, but its performance improvement has been minimal.

But fast forward so far and Xiaomi seems determined to fix the various issues and performance issues that still plague MIUI 12.5.

MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition was announced on August 10 and was once again promised to be a performance-focused update. It does not offer any new features compared to MIUI 12.5, but should improve how the phones work.
