Xiaomi 12 Pro: Price in India (expected), availability
The Xiaomi 12 Pro should cost less than the OnePlus 10 Pro. The latter is selling in India with a starting price of Rs 66,999. Tipster Yogesh Brar claims that the next Xiaomi phone will be priced at Rs 65,000 in India, which is not surprising. The company could do the same as OnePlus when launching its flagship phone. The OnePlus 10 Pro had a slightly lower price than the Samsung Galaxy S22 5G series in India to attract more customers.
In China, the Xiaomi 12 Pro is available with a starting price of CNY 4,699, which is around Rs 56,300 in India when converted. In the US, the base model is priced at $999 (about Rs 76,300). We will have to wait a few more days to find out more about the official prices for the Indian market. It will be on sale through Amazon as the device has already been listed on this e-commerce site.
Xiaomi 12 Pro Launching in India on April 27: An Overview of Key Specs
The Xiaomi 12 Pro has top-notch specs that you would expect at a price above Rs 60,000. There is a huge 6.73-inch display with WQHD+ resolution. It is an E5 AMOLED panel with 1,500 nits of peak brightness and a dynamic refresh rate of 120Hz. It has a touch sampling rate of 240Hz and the panel has a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus for protection against scratches and damage.
With this device, users get an LTPO display, which basically means that it will be able to adjust the refresh rate between 120Hz and 10Hz depending on the content. This will help deliver slightly better battery life. The Xiaomi 12 Pro has a centered punch-hole display design with minimal bezels, similar to Samsung phones. The device does not appear to have an IP rating, as the company did not reveal anything about it during the global launch event.
For photography, the company has added a triple camera setup to the back of the phone. It features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX707 main sensor with support for optical image stabilization (OIS). It is accompanied by two portrait and macro sensors of 50 megapixels. On the front, there will be a 32 megapixel camera for selfies.
The Xiaomi 12 Pro packs a 4,600mAh battery, which supports fast charging technology. While this one comes with a 120W fast charger, the OnePlus 10 Pro only comes with an 80W charger. As it is a flagship phone, the device supports the 50W and 10W reverse wireless charging. Finally, you get a four-unit speaker system on this phone which is tuned by Harman Kardon.
