Convergence Group, a telecommunications provider for businesses, health authorities and retailers, has acquired AIT, a connectivity and security services operator based in Reading as part of its strategy to expand across the UK.

AIT provides agile managed services that support corporate networks, with a focus on wireless, cyber threat detection and data center infrastructure. The acquisition of AIT will increase the turnover of the Birmingham-based Convergence group by 10% and add 250 customers.
